authorities on May 21 and a follow-up telcon of June 16 about
suspected potential Iranian efforts to acquire uranium from
Nigeria and questions/concerns about the Maro Sanat/Valley
Mining joint venture in particular, the GON sent the
following non-paper to the embassy:

Further to our telephone conversation of 16th June 2009 on
the above subject, I wish to re-iterate that investigations
are on-going at the appropriate quarters on the information
released to Government.
