(SBU) On July 1, UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed
(AbZ) told visiting NEA Acting Assistant Secretary Jeff Feltman and
the Ambassador that the UAE Cabinet would approve the UAE's draft
nuclear law on July 2. AbZ said the bill would move to President
Khalifa for final signature the week of July 5. On July 2, MFA
Special Representative for International Nuclear Cooperation Hamad
Al Kaabi confirmed to EconOff that the law was approved by the
Cabinet, adding that this information has not been released to the
public yet.
