1. (S) On December 17, Pol/Econ Chief delivered reftel
demarche on terminating defense cooperation with Iran to
Secretary General Sebastien Foumane at the Ministry of
External Relations. Secretary General Foumane responded that,
to his knowledge, Cameroon did not have any defense
cooperation agreement with Iran. (Comment: in post's view,
this is accurate. End comment). He added that Cameroon has
some economic cooperation with Iran through the Organization
of the Islamic Conference.
