(C) Poland is sympathetic to the argument that Israel
receives a disproportionate share of criticism in the UNGA
and will consider the information in reftel demarche before
making its voting decisions. However, Sylwia Cugier in the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs United Nations and Global Affairs
Department told us that Warsaw will generally follow the EU
lead in voting on this year's crop of resolutions. Last
year, Poland, along with virtually all EU members, abstained
on the three most egregious resolutions and would most likely
do so again this year.
