(C) Post discussed reftel points July 18 with MFA Arms
Control and Terrorism Prevention Division First Secretary
Jonas Daniliauskas, who agreed on the necessity of
encouraging Venezuela to halt complicity in FARC-related
narco- and arms trafficking. Daniliauskas noted that
Lithuania has diplomatic relations with Venezuela through
their embassy in Argentina, and other EU states such as Spain
and Italy have much more influence in the Latin American

Venezuelan complicity in FARC activity at the next EU COTER
