Irena Skardziuviene, head of the MFA's UN and Council of
Europe Division, told us on July 2 that the GOL agrees that
the international community needs to continue to help the
Burmese people recover from Cyclone Nargis but at the same
time needs to remain firm with the Burmese regime. She added
that the GOL supports the EU taking a strong stance on the
Burmese regime.
