Darius Staniulis, head of the MFA's Human Rights and NGO
division, told us on June 4 that the GOL continues to share
the USG's concerns about Burma. He noted the GOL has no
direct contact with the Burmese regime, but that the GOL
supports a strong stance on Burma within EU circles. He said
that although Burma is not on the UNHRC's agenda yet, he
expects it will come up.
