We delivered reftel points to Irena Skarduviene, Head of the
MFA's UN Division, on March 21. She said that the GOL "has
the same concerns" as the USG about democracy and the
upcoming referendum in Burma. She added that she had not
heard anything yet about the March 18 session on Burma at the
UN. She agreed that the Burmese regime behaved badly during
UN Special Adviser Gambari's recent visit.
