¶1. (C) As reported reftel, Mark Camilleri, a Maltese
businessman who represents private business interests based
in Iran, met with Embassy officials as part of his due
diligence in concluding a deal with the Iranian entity
"Iranian Investment Company" (IIC). Subsequent to this
conversation, Camilleri moved forward to set up an IIC
trading entity in Malta. Camilleri informed Embassy
officials that the trading company is placing its first order
for DCP Producers Association, a shipment of phosphoric acid
for use in feed additives.
¶2. (C) Post will maintain contact with Camilleri and report
on developments.
