The Secretary-General has sent a diplomatic note to USUN (para 2),advising the United States of the General Assembly's call for voluntary contributions to the trust fund to eliminate the backlog of the Repertory of Practice of United Nations Organs and for states to bring the question of funding for the Repertory to the attention of private institutions and individuals that may be able to provide assistance. ¶2. Begin Text: The Secretary-General of the United States presents his compliments to the Permanent Representative of the United States of America to the United Nations and has the honour to refer to operative paragraph 10 of General Assembly resolution 62/69 of 6 December 2007, whereby the General Assembly reiterates its call for voluntary contributions to the trust fund to eliminate the backlog of the Repertory of Practice of United Nations Organs, and to bring the question of funding for the Repertory to the attention of private institutions and individuals that may wish to assist in that regard. Should His/Her Excellency's Government find it possible to make a voluntary contribution towards the funding to eliminate the backlog of the Repertory of Practice of United Nations Organs, the Secretary-General would be grateful to receive information to this effect as soon as possible. The Secretary-General would also be most grateful, if, pursuant to operative paragraph 10 of resolution 62/69, His/Her Excellency's Government would bring the question of the funding for the Repertory of Practice of United Nations Organs to the attention of private institutions and individuals who may be able to assist in this regard. Any information, which His/Her Excellency's Government might wish to supply as to the response on the part of institutions and individuals, should likewise be forwarded to the Secretary-General, at the earliest possible date.
