USUN has faxed to Department (IO/PSC-Tammy Pomerleau and EUR-IO/EX/FM-Alice Green) a copy of a note and three related annexes from the SYG dated May 14, 2008 concerning the financing of three peacekeeping operations. Annex One contains current amounts payable by the U.S. Government as follows: Operation Amount($) -------------- -------------- UN Mission for the Referendum in Western 2,010,861 Sahara (MINURSO) Q/01/2008 to 06/30/2008 UN Observer Mission in Georgia (UNOMIG) 1,985,483 04/16/2008 to 06/30/2008 UN Mission in the Sudan (UNMIS) 38,395,460 05/01/2008 to 06/30/2008 Total Payable: $42,391,804 ¶2. The note states that funds are urgently required for the financing of these operations and are due within thirty days of receipt of the note. Bank accounts to which payment may be made are contained in Annex Three. ¶3. Annex Two provides the legislative basis, the period covered, the gross and net amounts to be apportioned and the symbol of the document in which the details of the assessments of all member states will be reflected. ¶4.
