NATIONS INTEGRATED MISSION IN TIMOR-LESTE
1. USUN has emailed to Department (IO/PSC-Tammy Pomerleau
and EUR-IO/EX/FM-Alice Green) a copy of a note from the
Secretary-General, dated March 14, 2008 requesting payment of
SIPDIS
the U.S. assessed contribution to the United Nations
Integrated Mission in Timor-Leste (UNMIT) for the period from
February 27 to June 30, 2008 in the amount of $14,257,092.
2. The note states that funds are urgently required for the
financing of this operation and are due within thirty days of
receipt of the note. The bank account to which payment may
be made is also contained in the note.
3. Action requested: Department is requested to facilitate
payment as noted above in paragraph 1.
