¶1. The United Nations General Assembly Second Committee
considered draft resolution A/C.2/63/L.36 entitled
"International cooperation to reduce the impact of the El
Nino phenomenon", submitted under Agenda item 49(c) during
its November 18 session. The Committee Chairperson noted
that the resolution contains no Program Budget Implication
(PBI). In accordance with reftel, the United States joined
consensus. The Committee is scheduled to meet November 20 to
consider additional draft resolutions.
