(U) Post requests four interns for the Spring 2009 cycle: one each for the Political section, Public Affairs section, Civil Emergency Planning section, and the Office of the Defense Advisor. In this period, USNATO will be diligently preparing for the April NATO Summit. The political and public affairs interns will focus almost exclusively on preparing for the Summit. This could include preparation of policy papers and supporting Post's officers in the preparatory negotations. Foreign language abilities are not a prerequite, but a basic knowledge of French would be helpful. The two interns assigned to Civil Emergency Planning and the Office of the Defense Advisor will support the work of their sections. Rising seniors or graduates students are preferred. ¶2.
