(C) The Dutch support the recommendation from Supreme Allied
Commander - Europe to amend the Counternarcotics Annex of the
International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Operations
Plan to authorize ISAF forces to interdict narcotics
production and trafficking facilities. Pol-Mil Officer
delivered reftel points on September 11 to the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs Coordinator for Task Force Uruzgan and on
September 12 to the Ministry of Defense (MOD) Senior Policy
Advisor and J5. All offices were already aware of the
proposal and stated that the Dutch representatives at NATO
were prepared to support it.
