The Netherlands has no record of forced or child labor in the
production of goods. The GONL shares the United States,
strong commitment to eradicate forced and child labor, and
provides assistance to combat it to countries where forced
and child labor occur. Recent examples of GONL efforts are a
proposed initiative to deny EU market access to products made
using the worst forms of child labor, and a June 23
conference to raise awareness of child labor in which Foreign
Minister Verhagen participated.
