officer Dirk Jan Wierenga, who indicated that FM Verhagen and
MFA Director for the Middle East van Lynden-Leiten would be
traveling to the Middle East during the International Compact
with Iraq (ICI) Ministerial. The Dutch may have a better
idea of participation after an EU discussion of the ICI
Ministerial on May 13. The Dutch do not plan to announce any
new pledges.
