Senior Policy Officer. Ten Hagen noted that the draft U.S.
statement was almost an exact duplicate of the EU draft,
which the Dutch support. Ten Hagen wondered about the best
time for an EU statement given that it could affect Iran's
second round of elections. FM Verhagen was unlikely to issue
a formal press statement to supplement an EU statement but
will be prepared to respond to questions from the press and
parliament.
