1. (SBU) POLOFF discussed reftel points with a range of Israeli
human rights NGOs. Several indicated that they would supply
information to the UNHRC for Israel's review, and thanked the
Department for its support of the process. NGOs expected to supply
reports -- either directly or jointly with other NGO partners --
include Adalah-the Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel;
the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI); B'Tselem - The
Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories;
HaMoked-Center for Defense of the Individual; and Physicians for
Human Rights-Israel (PHR-I).
