POLOFF delivered reftel demarche regarding USG intention to
vote "no" to the Serbian resolution to consider the legality
of Kosovo's independence to Jose Antonio Lorenzana, Director
of Multilateral Affairs, on October 7. Lorenzana confirmed
that the GOH still has not made a decision on the matter of
recognizing Kosovo. He added that despite formal requests,
Honduran representatives were unable to meet with the Serbian
delegation at the annual UN meetings. POLOFF will follow up
with MFA and report any susequent GOH decision.
