1. Per reftel request, Poloff met with Alexander Nalbandov,
Director of the International Relations Department at the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Poloff thanked Nalbandov for
Georgia's support for the U.S. candidate for IOM Director
General, Ambassador Bill Swing, and encouraged the Georgian
government to make their endorsement public. Nalbandov said
he was not aware if voting instructions have been sent to
date, but reiterated that Georgia would support Ambassador
Swing.
