On August 8 econoff delivered the demarche per reftel to
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Americas Desk Chief Ismat
Fayzullaev, who promised to pass the information to the
appropriate officials. Fayzullaev commented that Dr. Field's
CV is "very impressive," and he took the opportunity to state
again Uzbekistan's strong support for efforts to limit
climate change as exemplified, in particular, by the more
than fifty projects Uzbekistan has implemented under the
guidelines of the Kyoto Protocol.
