1. (U) This is an action request. Please see paragraph 2.


2. (U) Post requests that Department conduct a human rights
review and Leahy vetting for two additional Government of
Uzbekistan officials scheduled to attend an Export Control
and Related Border Security (EXBS)-funded export control
training event in Washington DC. The officials will
participate in the training at the Washington DC offices of
the Center for International Trade and Security of the
University of Georgia. Post has no credible information of
gross violations of human rights by any of the listed
participants. Department's response is requested no later
than close of business August 20.
