(U) Per reftel, on the margins of a May 5 meeting
with Foreign Minister Norov, the Ambassador informed the
Uzbek government of U.S. plans to mark solidarity with the
Cuban people on May 21. In addition, the Embassy has
placed a box in the Embassy newsletter 'Dostlik' marking
the date and has added a brief statement about it on its
web site.
