(SBU) On February 4, 2008, President Karimov appointed Nigmatilla Tulkinovich Yuldoshev as Deputy Procurator General of Uzbekistan. Yuldoshev, an ethnic Uzbek, was born in 1962, in Tashkent. In 1985, after graduation from the Law Department of the Tashkent State University, he began his career as an intern in the Office of the Procurator of Olmalyk City, Tashkent Region. He then served successively as Investigator in the Yunusobod District, Tashkent, Office of the Procurator; Senior Investigator in the Office of the Procurator of Tashkent City; Procurator for Control Over Activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs; and Chief of the Inspectorate for Provision of Domestic Security. ¶2. (SBU) From 2003 to 2006, Yuldoshev served as Leading Inspector for Control Over Activities of the Offices of the Procuracy, in the Office of the State Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. From 2006 to 2008, he was the Chief of the Department for Fighting Tax and Currency Crimes and Criminal Income, under the Office of the Procurator-General of the Republic of Uzbekistan. NORLAND
