Per reftel request, Embassy Tashkent nominates poloff Richard
Fitzmaurice to attend the training on forced labor and child
labor in Bangkok on March 27 - 28. Poloff's reporting
responsibilities focus on the human rights portfolio,
including forced labor and child labor issues. In 2007,
poloff prepared the Worst Forms of Child Labor Report and
Human Rights Report. Poloff expects to depart Tashkent for
Bangkok on March 26. Embassy Tashkent has funds to cover
poloff's per diem and lodging in Bangkok. Plane tickets from
Tashkent to Bangkok must be reserved well in advance. Poloff
has already reserved unrestricted economy roundtrip tickets
for 1,050 USD. A restricted economy roundtrip fare costs 725
USD. Post requests fund cite to purchase tickets for poloff
no later than February 26, when poloff's flight reservation
will expire.
