1. On July 22, 2008, econoff delivered reftel demarche to
Marten Frostgard, Desk Officer at the Department of Security
Policy, and Ulf Samuelsson, Deputy Director of the Department
of Middle East and North Africa. They thanked the United
States for the information and said they would pass it to the
Swedish Security Services (SAPO),but added that Sweden does
not follow United States domestic designations.
2. Charge plans to raise Iran sanctions issues with MFA State
Secretary Frank Belfrage when Belfrage returns from vacation
in August.
