The Department's Office of Defense Trade Controls Compliance (PM/DTCC) requests Post's assistance in conducting a pre-license check on license 050106560 for the export of ammunition to Jamaica. Post is requested to complete this Blue Lantern check within 30 days. Lack of response to a Blue Lantern check will affect pending and future licenses involving parties to this license. ¶3. Reason for Request: To establish the bona fides of end-user, SASCO Distributors, LTD. ¶4. Action Request: Post is requested to establish the bona fides of SASCO Distributors by making appropriate inquires to representatives of the company. The following questions have been included for guidance: --When was the company established and who are its principals? --What types of organizations are among its typical customers and where are the customers located? Does the company have an established customer base? --Does the company keep proper, detailed records of its sales and customers? --Does it have secure facilities and proper security procedures for handling these United States Munitions List (USML) items? --Does the company understand the restrictions on USML items, especially the prohibition against unauthorized re-transfers and re-exports? In its reply, Post may also comment on any other information pertinent to these transactions such as significant legal issues with Jamaican end-user and concerns with the commodities listed below.
