The United States appreciates Uganda's firm dedication to the strengthening of multilateral dialogue and international cooperation, as well as the protection of international peace and security. The United States is pleased that Uganda wishes to participate actively in the United Nations as a member of the Security Council and welcomes the opportunity to consider Uganda's candidacy.
