1. This is an action request. EMBASSY Beijing,
please see paragraph 2.
2. (S) Action Request: In June 2007, the USG provided
information (ref A) to the PRC concerning a shipment by
the China branch of Taiwan's Yuan Sheng Aluminum
Manufacturing Corporation of 7075-T651 aluminum plates
to Iran's Aluminat Co. To date, ISN/MTR has no record
of receiving the results of the PRC investigation.
Request EMBASSY Beijing follow-up with appropriate
Chinese officials and request an update of China's
investigation.
3. (U) Washington POC is ISN/MTR April Jones (Phone:
202-647-3176). Please slug any reporting on this
issue for ISN/MTR.
