See paragraphs 2-4. ¶2. The Department's Office of Defense Trade Controls Compliance (PM/DTCC) requests Post's assistance in conducting a pre-license check on application 05-050091001 for the export of defense hardware to Sweden. Post is requested to complete this Blue Lantern inquiry within 30 days. Lack of response to a Blue Lantern inquiry will affect pending and future licenses involving parties to this license. ¶3. Reason for request: Concerns that United States Munitions List (USML) items, services or technical data may be diverted to a proscribed entity. Specifically, a proscribed entity may benefit from the end-user's test set (which will contain USML items) by either purchasing an ERIEYE System and mounting it onto its aircraft, or by utilizing the test set on a previously acquired ERIEYE System. ¶4. Action: Department requests that Post query SAAB Microwave Systems AB regarding the specific end-use of the Myriad 4030 Carrier Boards, and determine ownership of the test equipment which SAAB will use to test communication units of the ERIEYE Airborne Surveillance Radar. Department further requests that Post emphasize that the unauthorized re-export or retransfer of USML items, services or technical data is strictly prohibited. The following questions provide suggested guidance: - Identify the owners and/or operators of the aircraft on which the ERIEYE System has been mounted. - Identify the specific types of aircraft on which the ERIEYE System can be mounted. - Is the test set within which the USML items will be incorporated mobile?
