The Department's Office of Defense Trade Controls Compliance (PM/DTCC) requests AIT Taipei's assistance in conducting a pre-license check on application 05-050080535 for the export of VRC antennas to Taiwan. AIT Taipei is requested to complete this Blue Lantern within 30 days. Lack of response to a Blue Lantern inquiry will affect pending and future licenses involving parties to this license. ¶3. Reason for request: Unfamiliar foreign consignee, Yeou Zheng Company. ¶4. Action Request: Department requests that AIT Taipei make inquiries and review documentation to establish the bona fides of Yeou Zheng Company. Conduct a site visit to assess the company's operations and on-site security, and ascertain whether or not this firm is a responsible recipient of United States Munitions List (USML) items, services, and/or technical data. Identify all parties involved in the proposed transaction, verify that the end-user requested the items listed on the application, and emphasize that unauthorized re-exporting and retransfer of USML items is strictly prohibited.
