This is an Action Request. See paragraphs 2 - 4. ¶2. The Department's Office of Defense Trade Controls Compliance (PM/DTCC) requests Post's assistance in conducting a post-shipment check on license 050088569 for the export of cannons to Trinidad & Tobago. Post is requested to complete this Blue Lantern check within 45 days. Lack of response to a Blue Lantern check will affect pending and future licenses involving parties to this license. ¶3. Reason for Request: According to the license authorization, the cannons listed below were integrated into mount systems by UK company, MSI Defence (foreign consignee), which were then integrated into offshore vessels by UK company, VT Shipbuilding (foreign consignee). The offshore vessels were then supplied to the Coast Guard of Trinidad & Tobago. This request if for Post to confirm that the cannons listed below were ultimately received by the Coast Guard of Trinidad & Tobago (end-user). ¶4. Action Request: Post is requested to confirm the receipt of the nine (9) cannons listed below by making appropriate inquiries with Trinidad & Tobago Coast Guard officials. In its reply, Post may also comment on any other information pertinent to these transactions such as security of facilities and concerns about the entities involved. ¶5.
