on behalf of himself and Mr. Boyko Borrisov, mayor of the
city of Sofia and leader of the GERB party. The signed

Dear Mr. Obama,

On the behalf of Boyko Borrisov, leader of GERB, and myself,
please accept our most sincere congratulations on the
impressive results that you achieved in the presidential
elections in the USA. The result confirms that the people of
your great country are willing to make the change that will
return America to its place as a beacon of democracy and
freedom. I am convinced that your election as president will
inspire many countries in the world to follow the American
values.

I am convinced that your presidency will open a new chapter
in the Trans-Atlantic partnership and will strengthen the
cooperation between the United States and the European Union.
As a democratic party, member of the European People's
Party, let me assure you that I look forward to strengthening
the contacts between GERB and your party, as well as the
