1. Political Officer delivered REFTEL request for
information to the Bulgarian National Commission for
Combating Human Trafficking, which is the central government
authority responsible for coordination of anti-TIP efforts,
as well as to several local TIP NGOs.
2. Bulgaria's major, nation-wide TIP hotlines are:
-- 08001910 -- Hotline for children victims of
violence, including human trafficking. This hotline is
administered by the State Child Protection Agency, funded by
UNICEF, and operated by the "Nadia Center Foundation", one of
Bulgaria's leading anti-trafficking NGOs.
-- 02 9817686 -- Hotline for victims of violence,
including human trafficking. This hotline is operated by the
Animus Association and funded by the Ministry of Labor and
Social Policy.
-- 02 9394777 -- Hotline for human trafficking
victims. This hotline is administered, funded, and operated
by the International Organization for Migration (IOM.)
