Poriazov on February 15. Poriazov said the Russian talk
about possibly recognizing Abkhazia was "alarming" and that
Bulgaria would "see what we can do" in talks with the
Russians to discourage them from taking that step. Bulgaria
would make clear to the Georgians its support for their
sovereignty and try to "keep them calm as possible" to avoid
any provocative reactions, Poriazov said.
