(S) MFA will share with appropriate GOS agencies the
information provided in the non-paper (Ref A),regarding Ace
Pressureweld's ongoing procurement activities, Sharon Seah,
Assistant Director of the MFA Counter Proliferation and
International Security Branch, told Econoffs September 4.
She also said that the GOS had conducted an audit of Ace
Pressureweld and continues to "watch" the company, but that
it has not initiated a formal investigation of Ace's
activities. She described the audit as a "normal" audit and
said that officials did not find evidence of suspicious
activity on the part of Ace Pressureweld. Ms. Seah seemed
unclear about the details of the audit, such as when it was
performed and when it was concluded, but she said she would
look into it and provide Econoffs with an update. We will
report any additional information MFA provides.
