¶1. (SBU) This cable is sensitive but unclassified and not
intended for internet distribution.
¶2. (SBU) On December 22 Deputy EconCouns and econoff took
advantage of a call on other business to deliver reftel
demarche to MOFAT Middle East Division Director Sung-kyu Kwak
and Second Secretary Sung-whan Lee. Kwak and Lee listened
attentively, thanked us for the notification, and noted that
the ROKG adheres to its obligations as a UN member state.
Econoff delivered the demarche to First Secretary Sang Soo
Lee in the Disarmament and Nonproliferation Division of MOFAT
on December 23.
