(C) In response to reftel demarche, MOFAT's Director of the
Cultural Policy Division Kwon Young-dae said he understood
U.S. concerns regarding the draft summary of conclusions of
the November 26 experts meeting and that the final draft
would be rewritten to reflect a consensus opinion. He added
that the ROKG was not involved with drafting the proposed
summary and did not support adopting the proposed summary
over the objections, among others, of the U.S., Japan, and
France.
