(C) In response to reftel request, Kim Jim-in, Deputy
Director, Disarmament and Nonproliferation Division, Ministry
of Foreign Affairs and Trade, offered assurances that the
Republic of Korea Government intended to submit their Annual
Declaration on space and ballistics missile policies before
the March 31, 2008 deadline. Kim emphasized that the timely
submission by Hague Code of Conduct Against Ballistic Missile
Proliferation (HCOC) states was important, and expressed
appreciation for the information provided about the seventh
annual HCOC meeting in May.
