(S/NF) On December 5, we received a letter from the Ministry of Security regarding the return of some Guantanamo detainees to Bosnia. A translation of the letter follows. ¶2. (S/NF) BEGIN TEXT: The BiH Ministry of Security presents its compliments to the Embassy of the United States of America in Sarajevo and has the honor to inform the Embassy of the following: The competent authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina have expressed its willingness to undertake measures requested in your DIP Note, no. 0800152, and accept the following individuals, citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina: -- 1. Boudelle Hadz -- 2. Asif Idr Mustafa -- 3. Muhamed Nechlle. As for the remaining individuals whose acceptance has been requested in the Note, the process of determining whether it would be feasible to do it in compliance with local legislation is still ongoing. We kindly ask you to inform us of the time, place and manner of their transfer in a timely fashion, so that the security agencies of Bosnia and Herzegovina could undertake necessary measures. The Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Embassy of the United States in Sarajevo the assurances of its highest consideration.
