FOR EXTRADITION
1. On May 30, post received a copy of the April 8 judicial
decision of the ad interim 12th Justice of Peace Mario
Mardoqueo Menjivar Miranda, regarding the USG request for
extradition of Honduran citizen Jose Luis Alvarez. Justice
Mardoqueo confirmed Alvarez,s provisional arrest order for
extradition. Alvarez is accused of killing his former
girlfriend over child support issues on March 21, 2001 in Los
Angeles, California.
2. The judge also requested that the National Civilian
Police, the Attorney General, the Director of Migration, and
the Public Defender take the appropriate steps to apprehend
the suspect and begin the extradition process.
