Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The GOES will support the U.S.
candidate, William Lacy Swing, for the position of Director
General of the International Organization for Migration
(IOM).

SECRETARY OF STATE
THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL
SALVADOR presents its compliments to the Honorable Embassy of
the United States of AMERICA and has the honor to refer to
the candidacy of Mr. William Lacy for the position of
Director General of the International Organization for
Migration (IOM) whose election will take place during the
Extraordinary Session of the IOM Council, on June 18, 2008,
in Geneva, Switzerland.
On this particular issue, THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF
THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR is pleased to inform to the
Honorable Diplomatic Representation that the Government of El
Salvador will support the candidacy, taking into
consideration the friendly relations and cooperation between
the two countries.
THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL
SALVADOR avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the
Honorable Embassy of the United States of America, the
