Office Director Emanuele Farruggia, of the MFA's Political
Bureau, on June 28. Farruggia said Italy strongly supported
the idea behind the proposed IAEA international nuclear fuel
bank, and was supporting a motion within the EU to contribute
25 million euros to the bank. SCICouns also delivered reftel
points to Roberto Liotto, Head of the MFA's Space,
Technology, Defense, and Nuclear Issues and Non-Proliferation
Office (in the Economic Bureau) on June 27. Liotto said the
issue was of interest to Italy, but deferred to Farruggia on
the specifics.
