Officer Leonardo Bencini June 12, requesting Italian support
for a meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss the
political and humanitarian situation in Zimbabwe before the
June 27 presidential run-off election. Bencini said we could
expect Italy to join other Western nations in voting in favor
of a UNSC meeting on Zimbabwe.
