PierMario D'Acco February 15. D'Acco said Italy shared USG
concerns regarding the threat of a Greek veto, and had
already sent demarche requests to the Italian embassies in
Athens and Skopje instructing their embassies to encourage
Greek and Macedonian governments to engage with each other
and with UNSYG Special Representative Nimetz to find a
negotiated solution prior to the upcoming Bucharest Summit.
D'Acco stressed Italy's support for Macedonian, Croatian and
Albanian accession to the Alliance.
