1. (S/NF) On September 14, Econoff delivered reftel demarche
to Counselor Abdulrahman al-Ahmad of the Saudi Ministry of
Foreign Affairs. Al-Ahmad assured Econoff the information
would be passed expeditiously to the highest levels of the
Ministry of Interior (MOI). He thanked the USG for providing
this information, emphasizing the importance that future such
demarches be as detailed as this one. Information on
al-Subaiy's imminent release was previously passed to the MOI
by GRPO.
