(C) Poloff attempted to persuade Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Head of the United Nations Division Azzedine Farhane to support Afghanistan as the candidate of choice to fill the vacancy in the IAEA Board of Governors. Farhane stated that Morocco has not yet taken an official position on whom it will support. ¶2. (C) Farhane said that Morocco's position will depend upon upcoming discussions at the UNGA and in Vienna.
