(C) POLOFF attempted to determine during a September 3
meeting with Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Head of the
United Nations Division Azzedine Farhane whether Morocco has
taken a decision on how to approach a possible UNGA
resolution requesting an advisory opinion from the
International Court of Justice on the lawfulness of Kosovo's
declaration of independence. Farhane stated that Morocco
will adhere to the Arab League and the Organization of
Islamic Conference (OIC) on the issue of Kosovo, which has
yet to take a formal stand.
