On February 15, POLOFF delivered ref demarche to MFA
Political/Military Chief Karim Halim. Halim thanked POLOFF
for the demarche and accompanying non-paper. After asking
some questions regarding statistics in the non-paper and
relating that he would forward the message to his superiors,
Halim said that the GOM,s position on this issue remains
well known and supportive of the U.S. orientation vis-a-vis
the "Oslo process." Halim provided no more substantive
response beyond this.
